Community Outreach

There are a number of support groups and seminars hosted by the Arizona Cancer Center. Refer to www.azcc.arizona.edu/calendar/calendar_v2.asp for a schedule of community events.

Major Areas of Research

There are 60 research labs within the Arizona Cancer Center where UPH hematology-oncologists conduct research to prevent and cure cancer.  On a molecular level, researchers are exploring the secrets hidden in DNA to pinpoint gene targets.  They are also aggressively conducting research to develop drugs that target cancer cells without damaging healthy tissue.

Clinical Trials

There are many clinical trials consistently taking place at the Arizona Cancer Center.  Participants in clinical trials receive high-quality cancer care and are among the first to benefit if a new approach is successful.  Visit www.azcc.arizona.edu for a comprehensive database of clinical trials.
