Emergency medicine physicians provide care to patients with acute and life threatening illnesses.
Serving over 100,000 patients a year, UPH emergency medicine physicians offer a full spectrum of care for medical and surgical disorders, aiming to improve the short and long-term health of the patient. Working with UPH’s 350 specialists at UMC and University Physicians Hospital, emergency medicine physicians provide immediate care to patients with heart attack, stroke, trauma and other acute medical and surgical conditions.
The Emergency Medicine department is an integral part of the only Level 1 trauma facility in Southern Arizona at University Medical Center, and provides nationally recognized services 24-hours a day, every day of the year.
